Mental Fitness

Your Saboteurs generate all your negative emotions, including stress, anxiety, self-doubt, anger, avoidance, procrastination, insensitivity or discontent. They are all about keeping you safe and protected but they go too far and limit your happiness, relationships and performance. Mental fitness requires the ability to intercept and discredit the Saboteurs. You’ll learn the emotional signature of your top Saboteurs and to celebrate each interception. Taking the first steps to regaining your power.

You’re not in full command of your mind. If you were, you would choose to entirely silence the Saboteurs. You wouldn’t stress over what you can’t control, you’d push away self-doubts, recover from disappointments immediately, and spend little time in anger, regret, or blame. Self-Command is a simple and use-anywhere selection of practical “grounding” techniques which quieten the Survive brain and energize the “Sage” brain. Preparing you for creative purposeful work.

The best endurance coaches in the world will tell you that a 6-month Ironman plan for a beginner is a recipe for injury, burnout, and a “one-and-done” relationship with the sport. True physiological adaptation takes time, consistency, and deliberate practice. And it respects the distance.

PREP PHASE Fundamentals”
(Weeks 1 – 7)

The Goal: Learn the components of the Positive Intelligence® Operating System, establish new daily routines, apply the learning, build confidence, lay down the initial neural pathways. Connect with the community.

The Process: Each day you build mental fitness through the “Coach in Your Pocket” PQ® App. This includes 3 daily 3-4 minute bite-sized practices, the PQ® Gym, 1-hour weekly interactive video tutorials, and the complete Positive Intelligence audiobook.

The Support: Weekly Pod calls and direct WhatsApp support with a Certified PQ Coach® to deepen your understanding, keep you accountable and on-track as you work the material.

BASE PHASE: “Integration”
(Weeks 8 – 13)

The Goal: Build the mental “aerobic engine.” This is where we take the knowledge out of the gym and apply it directly to sport and life. The weekly video tutorials stop BUT the daily structure continues.

The Process: For 6 weeks, we focus purely on application to build a solid foundation. You know how the Operating System works; now we apply it directly. This phase is where you refresh your knowledge from Fundamentals and make the framework your own. It starts to feel more natural. Think of this as “conscious competence.”

The Support: PQ® App gives you daily structure. Continued Weekly Pod calls and WhatsApp access to your Certified Coach.

BUILD PHASE: “Mastery”
(Months 4 – 12)

The Goal: Establish the daily habits that make PQ® the practice of a lifetime. Your new neural pathways are established, but they are still vulnerable. Now, we bulletproof them.

The Mindset: In sport, the rule is simple: use it or lose it. You are either gaining fitness or sliding backward; there is no standing still. You brush your teeth twice a day because the pain of stopping is far worse than the two minutes invested. Mental fitness requires that exact same daily hygiene.

The Process: You are ready to take flight, but we aren’t cutting you off. Your “Coach in Your Pocket” PQ® App continues to deliver 3 daily practices to keep your Sage muscles firing. You’ll also unlock a monthly “pass” to our advanced Mastery Application calls focusing on specialized modules like relationships, parenting, career, and performance. And, of course, you have full access to the global PQ Community right inside the App. Think of this phase as building “unconscious competence.”

The Support: The WhatsApp channel stays open to keep you connected and accountable. And when you are ready to fine-tune your performance even further, 1:1 direct coaching based on these PQ principles is always available as an add-on.

Advanced Upgrades: During this Build Phase, you have the option to “bolt on” 1:1 direct coaching, including Leadership Circle for Leaders and Managers, Team Coaching, and DISC assessment for ultimate personalization.

Hi, I’m John.

I built the MindFit Foundation because I know exactly what it feels like to have your one “wild and precious” life held hostage by Saboteurs. It’s stressful, it’s exhausting, and it makes your world far too small. The kicker? It doesn’t have to be that way. I just didn’t know how to change it.

Years ago, while co-leading a company to become the most successful in its sector, it looked like I was “crushing it” on paper. But reality was a strangely empty, relentless drive to just do more, achieve more, and earn more. I turned to endurance sport as an escape—only to eventually discover I was using the exact same overplayed strengths to strip the joy out of triathlon, too.

An injury finally forced me to pause and ask: Why is “success” never enough? It was a shock to realize the issue wasn’t the business, and it wasn’t the sport. The issue was my own mind.
